Ace Combat 8: release date, platforms and campaign essentials

The release date for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve was October 2, 2026. The confirmed platforms are PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S.

What does this release include?

Bandai Namco’s aerial action game puts the carrier Endurance and the pilots of Joker Flight at the centre of its campaign. Between sorties, the first-person story scenes give the squad a presence beyond radio chatter. Missions use aircraft with different jobs, including fighters, ground-attack planes and electronic-warfare support. Aircraft upgrades and wingman commands give players decisions to make before and during an engagement.

What to check before playing

The campaign and online play are distinct parts of the package. Bandai Namco confirms cross-platform online battles, with a separate progression system and save data for that mode. Do not confuse the main October launch with Deluxe early access, which began in September. When choosing an edition, compare its included content rather than treating an expired pre-order offer as a current entitlement.
