The release date for Gears of War: E-Day was October 6, 2026. The confirmed platforms are PC, Xbox Series X|S.
What does this release include?
The Coalition returns to the beginning of the Locust invasion, following Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as Emergence Day overturns life on Sera. Kalona is the campaign’s central battlefield, with the opening disaster unfolding across several days and nights. Cover-based shooting remains important, but the official launch guide also highlights melee attacks, changing weapon roles and optional paths that lead to side missions.
What to check before playing
The regular launch should be distinguished from the Premium early-access period, which began on October 1. The game offers campaign play alongside Horde Siege and Versus. For playing together, check the setup you actually need: local split-screen is a console feature, while online multiplayer has its own subscription requirements on Xbox. Do not assume a PC copy provides the same local split-screen arrangement as a console copy.
