Armatus: January release date, platforms and roguelite combat

Armatus is scheduled for January 7, 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2.

What to expect

Counterplay Games puts a heavily armed warrior into a devastated Paris, where demonic creatures stand between the remaining survivors and a mysterious route to heaven. The action uses a third-person perspective and a roguelite structure: dying leads to another attempt rather than the end of the journey. Guns, a scythe and supernatural abilities provide different ways to approach each fight, with further powers changing the combinations available during a run.

Before choosing an edition

The date is supported by the developer and publisher’s release announcement, replacing the broader launch timing in the original reveal. January therefore refers to the full game, not an old demo becoming available again. For a physical purchase, check the listing for your region and console; a platform announcement alone does not establish what every retailer includes. The screenshots illustrate promotional material, rather than SpawnBeat playtesting.
