Hello Games has given No Man's Sky a more unsettling reason to explore. The Forsaken update arrived on October 28, bringing a salvage loop built around abandoned locations and the objects left behind. The announcement focuses on exploration rewards as well as everyday improvements for travelers.

Trade discoveries for unusual ship parts

Players can recover mementos and take them to Forsaken traders. Those exchanges unlock biomechanical modules for Corvettes, offering a different direction for ship customization. A larva-themed helmet and a grub-like weapon add to the update's strange visual style. The new parts are rewards for salvaging and trading, rather than just additions to a cosmetic menu.

Changes beyond the spooky theme

Package-delivery missions give players another kind of job to take on. A radial weapon menu and minimal HUD option also change how information and equipment are handled during play. Hello Games additionally highlights seamless warping with visible stars, so returning players have navigation and interface changes to investigate alongside the new rewards.
