What does this release include?
Frontier expands zoo management beyond the familiar land-based enclosures. Fully aquatic species and flying birds bring aquariums and aviaries into the building tools, with habitats designed around the different ways animals move and behave. The developer also describes more visible animal moods, giving keepers another way to spot welfare problems. Conservation extends outside the visitor-facing zoo through Wildlife Reserves, where bred animals can be released into natural environments.
What to check before playing
For returning players, the important question is whether the new habitat types suit the park they want to build. These are management systems, not merely decorative scenery packs for the original game. Check the edition’s animal list before paying for additional content: the Deluxe Upgrade Pack adds extra species and signs. The base sequel and an optional upgrade pack should be treated as different purchases when comparing storefront offers.
