STRANGER THAN HEAVEN is scheduled for January 15, 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S.
What to expect
SEGA’s story follows Makoto Daito, who leaves America for Japan after suffering discrimination. His encounter with fellow traveler Yu Shinjo and merchant Orpheus begins a much longer struggle to find somewhere to belong. The narrative stretches from 1915 to 1965, moving through five cities as relationships and ambitions pull Daito in different directions. The cast announcement establishes this broad historical journey without revealing every character’s role in its outcome.
Before choosing an edition
The confirmed Xbox release supports Play Anywhere, and SEGA also lists cloud play and inclusion in Game Pass. Those access routes are worth separating: native installation, cloud streaming and subscription access are different ways to play, with their own service requirements. This guide records the PC and Xbox platforms confirmed in the cited announcement; it does not turn that list into an unsupported claim that other versions can never exist.
