Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition is scheduled for February 25, 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2.
Gameplay and key changes
Nintendo’s enhanced edition revisits the battles of the Great Calamity with improved visuals, a higher frame rate and more enemies on screen. It includes the original Age of Calamity Expansion Pass content and introduces a tougher Calamity Mode. The February release therefore concerns this Nintendo Switch 2 edition, not a newly announced release of the original Nintendo Switch game.
Release details and buying advice
For existing players, the practical questions are progress and purchase eligibility. Nintendo confirms that save data from the Switch version can be transferred and that owners can buy the digital Switch 2 version at a discount through Nintendo eShop. That is a discounted purchase, not a promise that the enhanced game is free. Check the eligibility details for your regional account and ownership format before buying, especially if you plan to continue an existing save.
